What a day! Bernie Sanders, 74, and Hillary Clinton, 68, made through three more democratic caucuses as they lumber toward the General Election in November 2016! The two candidates knocked out three more states on March 26, and gained those crucial delegates they need to drive forward to secure the democratic nomination at the DNC in July 2016. Click through to see who won big in Alaska, Hawaii and Washington!
Here are your winners for March 26’s democratic caucus night. May the best man or woman win!
Hillary Clinton: 18.3%, 3 delegates
Bernie Sanders WINS: 81.6%, 13 delegates
Hillary Clinton: 30%, 8 delegates
Bernie Sanders WINS: 69.8%, 17 delegates
Hillary Clinton: 27.6%, 8 delegates
Bernie Sanders WINS: 72.3%, 23 delegates
And there you have it! This was expected to be a close race, especially after the turnout on Western Tuesday. Though Hillary won the crucial battle in Arizona, where the delegate count was high, Bernie swept both Idaho and Utah, proving that Hillary doesn’t quite have this as on lock as she thinks she does! Though Hillary has about 300 delegates more than Bernie in this stage of the election, things are changing every day; remember that primaries happen up until June! Plus, you never know which way super delegates might vote…
The race between Hillary and Bernie has been overwhelmingly polite and professional, with the only jabs being thrown focusing on policy — nothing like their GOP counterparts. So it’s unlikely that after tonight’s results, we’ll be seeing any public bashing! But hey, if anyone does decide to go after Hillary (looking at you, GOP), she’s got her mansplaining defenders up!
