Wisconsin and Notre Dame will meet at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on March 25. A win means a trip to the Elite Eight, while the loser will have to watch the rest of the NCAA Tournament from home. The excitement kicks off at 7:27 P.M. EST, so be ready to watch these two squads battle it out.
Wisconsin comes into this game as the underdogs, according to SB Nation. However, you’d think that how the Badgers Bronson Koenig’s, 21, buzzer-beater against Xavier would give them a certain edge. They certainly drove the dagger deep into the heart of Bill Murray, 65, who was devastated to see his Musketeers lose. Don’t be sad during your Final Four viewing party – make sure you have these essential party supplies.
Notre Dame ended the Cinderella story of Stephen F. Austin State University, as the SFA Lumberjacks shocked everyone by putting away West Virginia. But they couldn’t upset Notre Dame, as the Fighting Irish squeaked by SFA, 76-75. With five players that average over 11 points per game, including Demetrius Jackson, 21, and Zach Auguste, 22, Notre Dame will definitely bring the fight to Wisconsin in this game.
However, with a defense that at times resembles “Swiss cheese,” per SB Nation, it might not matter how many points Notre Dame makes if Wisconsin scores more. Plus, with the Badgers’ Nigel Hayes, 21, scoring 26 points, nailing 27 rebounds and shooting 86% on 12-14 shooting in this tournament, the fight might be over for Notre Dame before it even begins.
Whoever wins, they might not like who they have to play next. If Wisconsin knocks off Notre Dame or if the Fighting Irish beat the Badgers, they’ll either have to face the University of North Carolina Tar Heels or the Indiana Hoosiers. Yikes! Getting to the Final Four will not be easy either way!
