Rapper Twista was arrested on March 24 before his concert in Valparaiso, Indiana when police found pot in his car! Needless to say, the show was canceled last minute.
Talk about a night cut short. Rapper Twista, 42, his driver and his two friends were all arrested on Thursday, March 24, on the way to his concert at Big Shots in Valparaiso, Indiana. The Rolls Royce Phantom was pulled over after it was reportedly driving too close to the truck in front of them.
The driver of his Rolls Royce Phantom was pulled over around 10:15 PM, TMZ reported, and all four men were asked to step out of the vehicle to allow police to search after they smelled marijuana. During the search, police did find an unknown amount of weed, and all four men were arrested, according to Porter County Police Chief Deputy Jeff Biggs.
The concert was of course canceled and Twista, whose real name is Carl Terrell Mitchell, was held in jail until 4AM Friday morning. He was then released after posting $500 bail.
Twista, who has been putting out rap albums since 1992, released his most recent record, Dark Horse, on August 12, 2014. He was also featured on When Music Worlds Collide‘s song, “Gossip” that came out in May 2015.
