It’s blame game time! People have been calling Leah Messer out non-stop on Twitter for neglecting her kids in the March 21 episode of ‘Teen Mom 2,’ and she’s finally had enough. The reality star went on a major social media rant March 25 to defend herself…and totally slammed MTV for bad editing. Yikes!
Leah Messer wants the last word on this one! The 23-year-old is standing up for herself following major controversy surrounding the March 21 episode of Teen Mom 2, during which she seemingly refused to give her kids breakfast before work. Of course, she’s denying being neglectful, and placing the blame on MTV instead. Read her tweets here!
“It’s so sad how the person behind the editing can even life a happy life by editing to manipulate the audience watching,” Leah tweeted. “It makes me feel like my story just isn’t enough. I DID hit rock bottom but I come out of it and I was willing to air it ALL because if just ONE person watched and reached out for HELP even when they feel so ALONE that’s all I cared about because I could NEVER imagine ANYONE feeling the pain, hurt, depression AND anxiety that I WAS suffering from. It would break my heart!”
But then she really started going in on MTV, and admitted to being super hurt by how the whole thing played out. “I wanted to bring awareness and HELP others and if MTV couldn’t share that then I will do it on my own the way God wants me to!!!!” she added. “As hard as it was to go through. I know there’s reasoning why I went through it. AND it hurts to feel BETRAYED by the ones I THOUGHT I could trust with my story. It goes to show you how “THE ENTERTAINMENT WORLD” really is and I guess everyone will see where I REALLY am starting Episode 4. #SUCHASHAME When others that is suffering could ALREADY be reaching out for help it just BREAKS MY HEART!!!! It’s NOT okay but I KNOW that I am NOW in such a AMAZING place and I LOVE YOU ALL! & I hope to continue to share my story but I REFUSE to allow it to be twisted for the benefit of a NETWORK!”
Wow! In case you missed it, Leah got totally called out for telling her young daughters she wouldn’t feed them breakfast before school because it would mean she’d have to wake up too early. Her reasoning? They would be getting breakfast when they got to school anyway, but it was still hard to watch the five-year-old twins, Ali and Aleeah, beg their mom for food.
“Grace was being a drama queen that morning,” she explained after the show, using Aleeah’s nickname. “They eat as soon as they get to school.” Still, it wasn’t enough of an explanation for some people, and she’s been getting hate for it all week long. Oh…and this was just the first episode — it’s going to get good.
HollywoodLifers, do you think Leah is a neglectful mother? What do you think of her Twitter rant.
