Not many can follow up Beyonce and Coldplay’s awesome halftime show at Super Bowl 50 — but if anyone can, it’s JLo!
Jennifer Lopez, 46, has so much going on in her life — she’s a working mom, she’s judging the final season of American Idol, she just signed on to season two of Shades of Blue, and she’s headlining a Las Vegas residency! But she may be adding Super Bowl performer to that lineup.
“During the recent NFL owner’s meetings the Super Bowl was discussed and it is Jennifer Lopez that they want for the halftime show,” an insider told HollywoodLife.com exclusively. “They have asked before and her schedule has been tight but they would live for it to work this year.”
This actually doesn’t come as that big of a surprise to us. At the opening of JLo’s “All I Have” show in Las Vegas, we chatted to her about the prospect of performing last year — and she didn’t say no.
“God! Oh God,” she told us laughing. “Could you imagine this in January and then I did the Super Bowl this year? There would be no way!” Well, this year could totally work. Plus, we know she’s awesome at performing live!
She’d be following in the footsteps of Beyonce and Coldplay, who absolutely brought down the house last year. So, would JLo be a good fit for Super Bowl LI, set for Feb. 5, 2017? It will all go down at NRG Stadium, in Houston, Texas — and we know Jen would be awesome.
