The dance goes on. The Orangemen of Syracuse will battle the Bulldogs of Gonzaga in the Sweet Sixteen of the NCAA Tournament on Mar. 25 at 9:40pm EST at the United Center in Chicago. Watch the March Madness live stream here.
It will be an epic showdown of two college basketball monsters when the 11 seeded Gonzaga squad takes on the evenly matched 10 seed Syracuse in the Midwest Region semifinals. Catch all the action online and live stream the game here!
The last time these two teams met was the first and only time. It was the NCAA Tournament in 2010 where they locked horns and Syracuse routed the Bulldogs 87-65. Despite the even match-up, Las Vegas bookmakers are calling the Zag’s a four-point favorite in this contest.
Gonzaga is stacked on defense which will be an issue for Syracuse who has not done well against teams who protect the rock well. Without any serious size on their roster, Syracuse is going to need to play quick if they are going to score well and have a chance against this strong defensive team.

The Bulldogs have two forwards that are almost unstoppable, senior 6’10” Kyle Wiltjer, 23, and 6’11” sophomore Domantas Sabonis, 19. These NBA prospects will likely go high in the draft when they decide to take the leap into the league and are the reason for most of the Bulldogs success this season.
Kyle averages over 20 points per game while Domantas recorded a double-double in their last game, the 82-59 rout over Utah. These guys are like burgers and fries, they go great together and everyone loves them!
Syracuse, however, can hang with the Bulldogs by continuing to shoot well. The Orangemen averaged over 55% from the floor in their last win over Middle Tennessee. Syracuse is battling for their second championship, their first was in 2003, while the Bulldogs have yet to win a title.
What do you think HollywoodLifers? Who will move on to the Elite Eight? Will the size of Gonzaga beat out the speed of Syracuse?
