It’s going so fast! March Madness has reached the Sweet Sixteen Round, which means we haven’t got long left in the NCAA Tournament. But thankfully we’ve got a great game in Texas A&M against Oklahoma on Mar. 24 to enjoy, which you’ll be foolish to miss. Catch all the action from the live stream below!
Both teams have had potential banana skins that could’ve disrupted their paths, but they’ve done well to make it this far. Somehow by the skin of their teeth, Texas snatched victory from the jaws of defeat against Iowa in their last match. Trailing by 11 points with 35 seconds in regulation time, they managed one of the greatest comebacks of all time.
Oklahoma dealt with CSU Bakersfield with ease in a comprehensive 82-68 win on Mar. 18. They followed that up with another big win against VCU in a tight 85-81 contest, which the Sooners nearly threw away after an impressive first half performance.
All eyes that night were on Buddy Hield, the college player of the year candidate who managed to save his team’s blushes by scoring some vital late points to guide the Sooners over the finishing line, albeit stuttering their way across it.
Both teams have nigh-on identical records when it boils down to their regular season games. Oklahoma are at 27-7, while Texas A&M can boast an impressive 28-8. However, we can only have one victor going through to the prestigious Elite Eight.
It’s a flip of a coin, both teams aspire to a Final Four spot, not only an Elite Eight appearance. If Buddy’s on fire, there will be little Texas A&M could do to stop him and their rivals winning.
