Leilah visited the Pierre Michel Salon in New York City for a prom hair makeover, and the result was a look that’s bound to turn heads! Expert colorist Delilah Fernandez tells us that Leilah wanted a spring look that was bright, but not quite summer yet — perfect for the big springtime dance! “I gave Leilah what’s called a Colormelt, which is really trending right now. It’s a combination of shades that melt into each other creating a softer, beachy, sunkissed look,” Delilah said.
Style Director Jerome Lordet also worked his magic — many of us are left with fine, dry ends after winter, so it’s a great time to get a trim! “I brought Leilah’s lengths up a little bit with some framing around the face and long side-bangs. Adding some long layers through her hair gave the hair a little fullness and movement. With this haircut, she can wear it both wavy or straight,” Jerome explains. For a sleek, straight look like Zendaya, CHI’s Brand Ambassador, we love the CHI G2 Styling Iron. If waves are more your thing, then see how Delilah styled Leilah with a 2-inch barrel curling iron for a fun, flirty look, pinning one side up for a simple and pretty prom finish!
