Uh oh! Justin Bieber’s got more problems than his meet and greet cancellations and a security scare. Now he has two top morning hosts confusing a picture of him for actress Kristen Stewart!
How embarrassing! The last thing Justin Bieber, 22, needs these days is to be mistaken for a women, but that’s exactly what happened during the fourth hour of the Today Show March 23. Co-host Kathie Lee Gifford, 62, took one look at a photo that was clearly of the Biebs and not only thought he was female, she kept thinking the pic was of Twilight star Kristen Stewart, 25! We know they’re kind of rocking the same hairstyles these days, but really?!
“That looks like a woman…I’m sorry, I keep thinking, ‘Is that Kristen Stewart?’” Kathie Lee kept asking when a large photo of Justin was displayed during a discussion about his concert meet and greet cancellations. “There’s earrings…does it not look like Kristen Stewart?” as co-host Hoda Kotb, 51, agreed , saying “It kind of does a little,” while Kathie Lee was still in disbelief asking again “Is that Bieber?” Wow, just wow!
The photo was a close up of Justin’s face, so it wasn’t like the shot was from far away which could make it harder see. It was clearly the Biebs, and appeared to be from the red carpet at the American Music Awards in Nov. 2015. He was rocking his bleach blond locks and wearing a colorful red and black shirt, and we don’t know where the earring Kathie Lee mentioned was, because Justin wasn’t wearing one in the pic. As if it was bad enough that she mistook Justin for K-Stew, she also dissed him for canceling out on fan meet and greet sessions. “He has 114 shows scheduled, maybe he should not do as many tours.…I think he’s awfully young and awfully fit to be exhausted. Look what Taylor Swift does for her fans,” Kathie Lee noted. “It’s not a good idea to disappoint fans…That is not cool because the people who love you will stay with you for the rest of your career if you treat them right.”
A ton of fans agreed with that sentiment after Justin’s March 22 announcement, taking to Twitter to bemoan the fact that they’d already bought tickets to see their idol up close and person and now that isn’t going to happen anymore.
HollywoodLifers, were you shocked that Justin cancelled all of his meet and greets with fans?
