Jennifer Lawrence, 25, isn’t shy about sharing how much she loves to indulge in junk food like pizza and fries whenever being interviewed. But to balance her sometimes unhealthy food choices, the actress has to work out, too. Ahead of the 2016 Oscars, OK! magazine shares just how JLaw slimmed down in 10 days — the easy way!

JLaw is known for her roles in movies like The Hunger Games and the X-Men series, where being fit is part of the job. But when she’s not filming, she tends to take it easy on the exercise, which according to OK!, left her needing to tone up in the days leading up to the 2016 Oscars, where she wore a crop top and skirt combo that she looked flawless in.
OK! spoke with Dr. Joe Horrigan, who trained Jen for The Hunger Games and shared that cardio is the secret to getting toned fast. Dr. Horrigan said to focus on doing a five to 10-minute warm-up and then a higher intensity workout for 20 minutes. While the gym is obviously one way to achieve this, Dr. Horrigan shared that JLaw likes skipping, and suggested “running, cycling and hiking” as cardio options you can do without a gym membership, too.
Dr. Horrigan said you can also build more muscle mass to burn more calories by doing at-home strength training exercises like “squats, push-ups and sit-ups.”
Another trick the mag shared was to simply relax more. According to Jen’s X-Men trainer, Dalton Wong, you should end the day with a bit of stretching and deep breathing. “[This] helps to relieve the body so you can sleep better [and] be more resilient and able to train and work the next day,” he told OK!.
