This is absolutely heartbreaking. Erin Storm, who competed on Matt Grant’s season 12 of ‘The Bachelor,’ reportedly passed away on March 22 after the plane she was flying abruptly crashed.
Erin Storm was reportedly flying an Airborne XT-912 light-sport weight-shift control plane when something went wrong and the plane crashed. She was pronounced dead at the hospital.
Byron Mayes, 18, was on the scene at the time of the crash, CBS Los Angeles reports. “It kind of went straight up and just veered right. And as soon as it veered right, my partner started yelling: ‘Oh! Watch out. Watch out. There’s a plane.’ Next thing I knew the plane was coming straight at me. So I ran out of the way,” he explained about the crash.
“As soon as the plane hit the curb, it blew up. And the flames just kept getting bigger and bigger,” he continued and with that, he and his coworkers ran over to the plane. “We pulled her out of the plane before we even got to the fire extinguisher. Her legs were on fire. That’s when my partner ran in and pulled her out. We checked her pulse, and sadly to say there was no pulse at first. But the paramedics were doing as best as they could to keep her breathing. However she was transported to a trauma center and was pronounced dead.
He also confirmed she was wearing a blue jumpsuit.
She was known as Erin S. during Matt Grant’s season of The Bachelor, and her job at the time was “hot dog vendor.” However, according to Facebook, she began working at an airline a few years ago, flying her first solo flight in November 2015.
HollywoodLife.com has reached out to ABC. Meanwhile, the Bachelor family told HollywoodLife.com, “Once a member of the Bachelor family, always a member of the Bachelor family. It is a tragedy that Erin is no longer with us, and we would like to extend our sincere condolences to her family and friends.”
