We can’t get over how amazing Nyle’s performance was on Dancing With The Stars on Mar. 21. While there were plenty of great dancers, Nyle really stood out. He and Peta did an amazing Cha Cha to DNCE’s catchy hit “Cake By The Ocean”, and it was shockingly good. Plus, he showed off his super sexy chiseled abs, and we may or may not still be drooling.
Nyle became famous for winning the 22nd cycle of America’s Next Top Model, and for doing it while being deaf. We imagine that trying to understand the direction of a photographer without hearing them is tough, but no where near as tough as dancing when you can’t hear the music!
The judges were shocked when they saw him perform, and asked if he dances by feeling the vibrations. “She’s dancing to the music, I just follow her with my eyes,” said Nyle of Peta. That’s insane! Clearly the judges were as impressed as we are, with Len saying “It was terrific. I wasn’t sure about it for the beginning, but once you got into it … it just got better and better.” We can’t help but agree! Thank goodness Nyle was tied for highest score of the night – 23 out of a possible 30 points!
Our DWTS editor Dory thinks he could totally win this season!
Before the episode, actor and former competitor Gilles Marini told HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY that he was rooting for Nyle. “I wish Peta will do very well because she is with someone from the deaf community,” said Gilles. “Hopefully he can move and he can smile because imagine if you are not hearing anything and you have to dance to something, it is all physical and and if he does that then he is a genius, I can’t wait to see him dance!” We’re sure Gilles is thrilled after that performance!
