Should Cesar Millan be under investigation for animal cruelty? He is in hot water after a pig was attacked by a dog on his show, ‘Cesar 911,’ but video footage of the incident may prove him innocent. Watch it and see what you think!
Cesar Millan, 46, may not be in trouble after all! As authorities analyze video of a dog’s attack on a pig on Cesar’s reality show, Cesar 911, they’re finding that the dog whisperer didn’t mean any harm on the pig like they originally thought. With the whole attack on tape, instead of hurting Cesar’s reputation, the video might actually be what saves it!
Cesar has been under investigation since March 10, after the L.A. County Animal Care and Control received several complaints about the Cesar 911 episode that showed an aggressive french bulldog/terrier mix attacking and injuring a pig. But nearly two weeks later, the department told TMZ that rather than charging Cesar with animal cruelty, he should instead be deemed a hero — investigators believe that Cesar is actually jumping into action to save the pig!
So how could this case make Cesar go from villain to pig protector? The key part of the investigation is intent, and those who analyzed the video believe that Cesar did not create a scenario that intentionally put the pig in harm’s way. In fact, it almost seems that’s exactly the opposite of what Cesar wanted to happen! See for yourself by watching the entire incident below!
But even if investigators find Cesar innocent, they won’t completely let the dog whisperer off having a conversation about the scary occurrence. Investigators do think he was a bit negligent in the situation, but they think things would be best handled with a conversation about corrective action rather than filing any animal cruelty charges against him.
Prosecutors from the L.A. County District Attorney’s Office will have the final say when they take a look at the case in the next week, but it seems things are looking good for Cesar. If the investigators’ beliefs stand, this would come as a relief to NatGeo Wild, the network for Cesar 911, who quickly came to Cesar’s defense.
“It is important to clarify that Cesar took precautions, such as putting Simon on a long lead to assess his behavior, before making initial corrections and removing the leash,” the network told HollywoodLife.com in a statement. “The pig that was nipped by Simon was tended to immediately afterward, healed quickly and showed no lasting signs of distress.”
