This is so scary! ‘Teen Wolf’ star Dylan O’Brien suffered multiple broken bones when he was injured on set of his new movie, ‘Maze Runner: The Death Cure.’
Dylan O’Brien, 24, took a break from Teen Wolf to film the next installment of Maze Runner franchise but on March 17, he was badly injured on set — and now Fox has stopped production. Read the full statement here.
He was filming in his role of Thomas, the YA dystopian in the film, when a scene with a car when something went wrong and he was run over, TMZ is reporting. He was rushed to a hospital in British Columbia with “severe injuries” and is currently undergoing treatment. His rep has confirmed to HollywoodLife.com that he was in an accident and is being treated for his injuries.
“Dylan O’Brien was injured yesterday while filming Maze Runner: The Death Cure in Vancouver, Canada,” Fox said in a statement. “He was immediately transferred to a local hospital for observation and treatment. Production on the film will be shut down while he recovers. Our thoughts go out to Dylan for a full and speedy recovery.”
The Death Cure will be the third film in the Maze Runner franchise. While both the first and second films we’re extremely successful ($102 million, then $81.6 million). Dylan has starred in both original movies, as well as his MTV show, Teen Wolf which just wrapped season five!
