Now that’s something special! Brazilian soccer maestro and now Liverpool legend Philippe Coutinho, 23, showed off his sublime talents with this wonder goal against Manchester United in their Europa League last 16 tie on Mar. 17. It really was a sight to behold if you’re NOT a Red Devils fan.
The Brazilian playmaker picked up the ball on the left hand side of the pitch from a pass by Daniel Sturridge, before driving menacingly towards United’s goal. But he still had a man to beat in the shape of United’s full-back Guillermo Varela. One, quick drop of the shoulder and he spun past his opponent leaving himself with just United keeper David De Gea to beat.

Watch how Philippe just effortlessly chips the ball past the goalie, giving him the eyes and pretending to cross, but going for that near corner to the delight of the away fans. His movement and skill is a sight to behold, and it seems like he’s been learning a thing or two from his Brazil international colleague Neymar.
In the context of the game, the goal was a huge one because it gave Liverpool a vital away strike as they looked to build on their 2-0 win at Anfield in the first leg. It also sank any belief that United might’ve had of getting one over their bitter rivals.
Liverpool ended up getting a 1-1 tie away, which totaled with their first leg win meant they progressed to the quarter-finals with a 3-1 aggregate win.
