Big Ang’s memory lives on through ‘Mob Wives.’ Despite being in the middle of intense cancer treatments during the reunion show, which was filmed in Feb. and aired March 16, Ang showed up to reminisce with her friends and leave her fans with one incredible, final memory.
The drama was out of control on the Mob Wives reunion show, but things were all brought into perspective when Big Ang showed up in the middle of her intense cancer treatment to reminisce with the rest of the cast. Just two weeks before her sad death, Ang filmed one last segment for the reality show and left fans and her friends with an important message.

The claws were out between Karen Gravano and Drita D’Avanzo during the March 16 reunion, which was actually filmed on Feb. 5. But before Drita showed up to the reminiscing session, Karen sat down with Renee Graziano, Carla Facciolo and Ang to fondly look back on the series. Unfortunately, Ang could only come by for a few minutes — she was in the middle of cancer treatment at the time and passed away from Stage 4 lung and brain cancer just two weeks later.
“My daughter said, ‘I want you to go out, you might feel better,'” Ang explained to the ladies. “And I feel better.” While she was there, the group talked about getting cast on the show, and Ang was visibly upset when they reminisced on her huge fight with Renee in Season 5. “It’s kind of embarrassing that we’re sitting here arguing over stupid things, fake and phony, and battling over things when you’re fighting for your life,” Karen told the 55-year-old while discussing the drama. “You really think about it and was it really that serious? No,” Ang responded. “At the time we thought it was, but now you look back and you’re like…what were we even arguing over?!”
With Drita on her way, Ang made one last play as the show’s peacekeeper, her role throughout the five seasons she starred, telling the women, “I hope you girls can control yourselves today!” and reminding them to act as “good as they look.” We miss Ang’s voice of reason SO much and are so glad she was feeling well enough to come to the reunion, even if it was just for a few minutes. Rest in Peace, Ang!
