Sometimes, art imitates life! Kim Kardashian’s famous nude selfie has been made into a 30-foot-tall mural on the outside of a building, and the likeness is uncanny. Check it out!
Kim Kardashian, 35, has been immortalized on a brick wall in Melbourne, Australia, by street artist Lush Sux. The artist Instagrammed a snap of his finished piece on March 12, and understandably, the Internet went insane — see the pic right here!
The artist known as Lush Sux reportedly didn’t get permission to paint his mural, and many residents are angry that the racy pic popped up overnight. However, Lush is quite proud of the mural, and he justified it to everyone by explaining that turning the photo into a work of art isn’t so different from someone poising nude for a painting: “Think of it as posing nude for a painting but not having to stand in a semi homeless French artists studio for hours,” he wrote on Instagram. If residents aren’t happy with the mural, they’re just going to have to paint over it! To hear more about Kim Kardashian, head over to iTunes and download the latest HollywoodLife podcast for free!
This iteration of Kim is, of course, based on the nude photo she shared with the world on March 7. “When you’re like I have nothing to wear LOL,” Kim captioned the selfie. In the photo, she’s wearing a blonde wig and absolutely nothing else, though of course she got past the Instagram filters by Photoshopping black bars over her lady parts. Fans and celebs exploded at Kim over social media, with stars like Bette Midler dissing Kim. Others defended the reality star, supporting her right to show off her sexy bod. Love it or hate it, Kim’s pic is a conversation starter — and now it’s even part of the landscape Down Under!
