Could Coldplay be any cooler? The band performed during ‘The Today Show’ on March 14 and it was pouring rain but they kept going! They performed their hits and we were shocked Chris didn’t fall considering how slippery the stage was!
It was like a real life Coldplay music video when the band performed outside on The Today Show. Even though it was raining pretty hard in NYC, that didn’t stop Chris Martin and the guys from putting on a spectacular show performing, “Clocks,” “Hymn For The Weekend” and “Adventure Of A Lifetime” and the crowd was rocking out!
The guys hit the stage and it was epic. We were totally into watching they put on an awesome performance and Chris made sure to make his way into the crowd, hold hands with fans and even spin in circles on the slippery stage. Some of our fave performances had to be “Up & Up” and “A Sky Full Of Stars.” Obvi, Coldplay are one of our top bands of all time but we just love how they didn’t let a little rain get in the way of connecting with their fans.
Coldplay has had quite the year. They won Best British Group at the 2016 Brit Awards, totally beating out the guys of One Direction. But we have to admit that even though they confetti-bombed the audience, their Super Bowl performance with Beyonce had to be one of their best ever.
But we wouldn’t expect Chris to halt a performance because of some rain, we know he has an awesome personality and is super easy going. Remember when he did Carpool Karaoke with James Corden? Chris pretends to be a hitchhiker in the rain (go figure) with a sign that read “Super Bowl San Francisco.” They belted out “Yellow” and it was glorious!
HollywoodLifers, what did you think of their performance in the rain?
