Matches made in reality heaven! Over the combined 31 seasons of ‘The Bachelor’ and ‘Bachelorette,’ there has been plenty of drama and heartbreak — but more importantly, we’ve seen true love happen! Where are the seven successful ‘Bachelor’ couples now? Click through our gallery and find out!
A couple who comes together on The Bachelor stays together, right? Well, not always, but there are a handful of love stories that are still making Bachelor Nation swoon. As Ben Higgins prepares to propose to either JoJo Fletcher or Lauren Bushnell on the Season 20 finale of The Bachelor, take a look back on the seven success stories that have been made from 20 Bachelor and 11 Bachelorette seasons!
While five of the first 12 seasons of The Bachelor resulted in proposals, none of the relationships seemed to last longer than a few months after the finales aired — until Jason Mesnick in Season 13! He pulled perhaps the most dramatic move in Bachelor history (cue Chris Harrison‘s voice) when he dumped his original choice, Melissa Rycroft, only to take back his runner-up, Molly Malaney. But despite the controversial move, Jason obviously made the right decision, because he and Molly ended up getting married in 2010 and now have a little girl named Riley together!
Although The Bachelor didn’t find a successful couple until Jason’s season, The Bachelorette proved to be a matchmaker from the beginning. The very first Bachelorette, Trista Rehn (who was runner-up on The Bachelor‘s first season), married her choice, Ryan Sutter, in 2003. They have since had two kids, Maxwell and Blakesley, and their happy family lives in Denver! Watch The Bachelor anytime by joining Amazon Prime for free RIGHT HERE.
Those aren’t the only Bachelor/Bachelorette families, either. Season 7 Bachelorette couple Ashley Hebert and J.P. Rosenbaum celebrated three years of marriage in December, and their 18-month-old son Fordham is the cutest little tyke. Plus, the 17th Bachelor Sean Lowe and his wife Catherine Giudici are getting ready to welcome their first child together later this fall! This is becoming one giant Bachelor family tree, huh?!
Considering there are three more couples that are still going strong, we could be seeing even more kids added to the Bachelor family. Desiree Hartsock, a contestant on Sean’s season, and her man Chris Siegfried wed in January 2015, and they just took a romantic anniversary vacay to Hawaii to show that their love hasn’t faded!
As for the most recent Bachelorette, Kaitlyn Bristowe, her season actually resulted in two successful relationships! She’s still with her choice, Shawn Booth, and the engaged couple now live together in Nashville with no rush to get married. But her second runner up, Tanner Tolbert, found love with Bachelor alum Jade Roper (from Chris Soules‘ season) on Bachelor In Paradise, and they have already gotten hitched!
Man, there must be something in the Bachelor/Bachelorette water! While a 7/31 ratio doesn’t exactly sound like the best odds, these seven couples have proved that this show can actually work for finding true love. Ben swears he’s found it himself on his season, and we only hope he and his pick become number eight!
