‘Once Upon A Time’ is back, and the gang is in the Underworld trying to save Hook. On the March 13 episode, Snow met up with a familiar face — a very young Hercules!
Emma is willing to do whatever it takes to rescue Hook from the Underworld. On March 13 episode of Once Upon A Time, Snow helped Hercules complete his unfinished business, Henry and Cruella made a deal, and Hades told Hook about his crazy plan to hurt Hook’s loved ones!
A very bloody Hook wakes up in a dungeon. His poor face! There’s a girl there, and she tells him there’s no way he’s getting out alive. Hades will always find you. Well, Hook isn’t going to let Hades stand in the way of reuniting with Emma. He asks the girl to come with him. They begin to run, and he realizes they both won’t be able to get out, so he lets the girl go. Hook stays back to face a 3-headed dog. DON’T HURT HIS FACE ANY MORE, PLEASE!
Snow is worried about protecting Emma. Before she leaves the cemetery, she stops at a particular tombstone. That’s when we flashback to when Snow was a young girl. Snow wasn’t ready to face her duties as a princess, and that’s just what evil Regina wanted. Snow ran into the woods and fell into a hole. Guess who saved her? HERCULES!
That’s whose tombstone Snow is looking at. How did Hercules die?! Snow is determined to find out his unfinished business.
Emma, Henry, Regina and Robin search in the woods for clues about Hook. Emma finds blood and is certain it’s Hook’s. But it’s not Hook they find — it’s the girl from the dungeon! The girl tells Emma about the underground prison. She knows where it is, but it’s being guarded by a monster. Just when you think all hope is lost, Snow shows up and knows how to kill the beast.
Hercules Helps Snow Become A Badass
Back in Snow’s younger days, Hercules vowed to teach her how to fight the bandits and become a hero. He knew she would make a great queen. Plus, her had a crush on her. Yeah, I ship it. Along with helping Snow, Hercules had one last mission: defeat the 3-headed hellhound. After Hercules’ training, Snow was so much sassier, but she wasn’t quite ready yet. Hercules saved her with his immense power.
Snow was convinced she would never be able to defeat the bandits. Hercules gave her quite the pep talk and told her it was OK to fail. That’s how everyone learned to succeed.
Snow returned to the bandits the next day ready to rock. She forced them all to lower their weapons. After Snow’s success, she kissed Hercules!
Back in the Underworld, Snow finds Hercules. She asks him how he died, but he avoids the question. Snow gives him hope that he could leave the Underworld and move on with his life. With a little bit of persuasion, Hercules agrees to help. He heads into the prison and comes face-to-face with the hellhound. Like any normal person, he runs the other way.
Hook is dumped in front of Hades, and the villain threatens our sweet Hook! Later, Hades shows his face to the girls and Hercules. Hercules is not happy to see his uncle. Hades reveals that Hercules was killed by the hellhound. Poor guy. Hades vows to come after Snow’s family the next time she comes after his. He has a gift for Emma — Hook’s broken hook! OMG! And he says that’s not even the worst of it!
Hades’ Threat = Hook’s Worst Nightmare
Hercules walks away from the gang after the run-in with Cerberus and Hades. He doesn’t want to face the thing that killed him alone. Snow has a solution — she will help him fight Cerberus! Cerberus is already on the loose in the Underworld, and it’s ready to kill. Together, Snow, Hercules and the girl defeat Cerberus. For those who didn’t put the pieces together before, the girl’s name is MEG! Sparks fly between Meg and Hercules because they’re endgame!
He’s pretty sure they had met before, and he’s right. He had tried to save her before she was killed by Cerberus. After this latest adventure with Hercules, Snow is done with Mary Margaret. She is and always will be Snow!
Meanwhile, Henry runs into Cruella. Yep, the woman Emma killed! She needs Henry’s help. She wants to go back to the real world. Only one person can change her fate — the Author. And that just so happen to be Henry. Henry says he destroyed the quill, but Cruella admits that it’s a living, breathing thing. So the quill is in the Underworld. When Henry meets back up with Robin, he says he found nothing.
Hercules and Meg cross over to Olympus after completing their unfinished business. That means another soul has left the Underworld. Hades isn’t happy with Hook for helping Meg move on. He tells Hook that for each person the gang frees, one of them will have to stay in the Underworld. Oh, and Hook gets to decide who has to stay!
