Silento totally killed his Kids’ Choice Awards performance while getting his audience riled up in the process — what a great way to bring some major energy to the show. And you better believe we spotted some whipping in the audience!
Silento, 18, totally rocked the Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards stage on March 12! He sang “Watch Me (Whip/Nae Nae)” and we loved every second! The rapper, who’s nominated for Favorite New Artist, definitely brought his a-game, and the show he put on was pretty wild — in the best way possible!
Taking the stage in a fresh white jacket and completely rad shades, Silento may just be a teen but he proved he can most definitely hold his own in a room full of screaming fans. But not only were fans going nuts over the artist’s performance with their VOICES, but audience members sported light-up wrist bands, which took their whipping to the NEXT level — so cool!
The hot performance featured fierce backup dancers and crazy flashing lights, and seriously guys, Silento knows how to WORK an audience! His moves were on point and his energy was out-of-this-world! What an epic show.

Silento made a HUGE splash in 2015 when he when debuted his single “Watch Me (Whip/Nae Nae)” on his YouTube channel. In just one week, it had gained over 2.5 million views! So it’s no surprise that when the young artist hit the stage tonight, fans went wild to watch him perform live. But this wasn’t even Silento’s first live performance as he performed alongside the cast of Black-ish at the BET Awards back in June 2015.
But honestly, we’re not sure if any performance can top his KCA’s one. After all, the crowd went WILD for his smooth dance moves and catchy rhymes. This was definitely one of the best performances of the night! We wish Silento the best of luck and who knows — maybe he’ll walk away with one of those coveted orange rockets. But even if he doesn’t, it was still one heck of an evening for the star!
