Uh oh, it looks like there’s some fallout after Chumlee from ‘Pawn Stars’ dramatic arrest. He’d been scheduled to perform a DJ’ing gig at a Las Vegas nightclub Mar. 11, but has abruptly cancelled his appearance at the last-minute!
Chumlee, 33, made the wise decision not do make a previously scheduled club appearance following his Mar. 9 arrest on drugs and weapons charges. The Pawn Stars cast member was supposed to DJ a set at Tru Nightclub, but now he’s decided it’s for the best to not be out looking like he’s partying after such a shocking week.
The reality star decided to “proactively” back out of the gig, Chumlee’s attorney told TMZ. He had been scheduled to go on at 11pm and spin for a DJ set, and the club had said they would provide heavier than normal security. In this age of being able to film or photograph anyone with a smart phone, there’s no way the club could have controlled people getting post-arrest pics of Chumlee, and he’s wisely decided to lie low for the time being.
Chumlee – real name Austin Russell – has had a pretty crazy week after police served a search warrant at his house in conjunction with an ongoing sexual assault investigation in which he is a person of interest. While raiding the house cops found meth, marijuana and guns, and that earned Chumlee a trip to jail.
After spending a night in the Clark County Detention Center, Chumlee was released on $62,000 bond but not before he was he was handed 19 charges of drug possession and a single charge of possessing a gun by a prohibited person.
HollywoodLifers, are you surprised that Chumlee cancelled his club appearance? Did he do the right thing?
