What an emotional reunion finale for the remaining ‘Teen Mom OG’ cast. During the second part of the reunion special, Catelynn Lowell gets extremely candid about her postpartum depression and admits that she contemplated suicide at one point. So heartbreaking!
On the second part of the Teen Mom OG reunion special, it was nothing but tears. Tyler Baltierra opened up about the awful depression he felt as a child. Meanwhile his wife, Catelynn Lowell shockingly admits she thought about suicide after having their daughter, Nova Reign. Then we saw Amber Portwood and her fiancé Matt Baier, open up about their “interesting” season.
Catelynn & Tyler’s Emtional Sit Down
Everyone’s favorite Teen Mom couple sat down with Dr. Drew Pinsky to discuss the emotional season that they had. Tyler winds up discussing his past suicide attempt when he was only twelve years old. They then have Butch call in via video chat to discuss his son’s suicide attempt. It was heartbreaking to hear him discuss his own childhood issues as well. Tyler wound up crying on stage while watching his dad breakdown on video chat. Butch also touched base on his sobriety and how far he has come. Catelynn also had an emotional time discussing her own depression. “It’s hard, I don’t want to do anything. I can’t even emotionally or physically take care of my own self,” she told Dr. Drew. She recalled having suicidal thoughts, “I remember sitting in the bathtub and thinking ‘I’m not waking up another day feeling like this.'” So heartbreaking. We just love Cate.
Gary Shirley Tells Amber Her Hair Looks Great
Amber started off right away defending Matt. She tells Dr. Drew that although she loves her fans, she feels like she needs to keep parts of their lives off the show. This mainly came down to, being embarrassed to find out Matt lied to her about all of the kids he had. Then her ex Gary Shirley came on out to discuss their new co-parenting custody agreement — 50/50. It was actually a pleasure to see them getting along. At one point Gary even says, “She’s wonderful to be around. Her hair is highlighted and it looks great.” So funny. Matt later comes on the show and per usual, directs all of his wrongdoings onto Gary. He bashes him over and over and it’s pretty annoying to watch. Matt clearly needs to learn his place. THEN Gary comes out to confront Matt and it really gets heated. When Matt says he adores Leah, Gary snaps back and says, “Why don’t you adore your own kids?” He has a point. Dr. Drew winds up having to stop the bickering, just when it was getting good.
