Wait, what? Teresa Halbach’s death certificate has finally been released to the public, and the information on it is incredibly inconsistent. Can this help prove if Steven Avery is innocent?
Making A Murderer has captivated the world with it’s eye-opening look at Steven Avery‘s murder trial and conviction in 2006. Now, ten years later, new evidence and information may lead to Steven’s conviction being overturned — if his new lawyers can finally prove his innocence.
This is pretty crazy, and it may be one of the groundbreaking new pieces of evidence that Steven Avery’s legal team has been working with to help make him a free man. The death certificate of Teresa Halbach was made available through the Freedom of Information act, and now that it has been released online for everyone to see, it’s clear that there are multiple inconsistencies that could prove Steven really, truly was framed.
For starters, the certificate says that “no” there was no body found, but then says “yes” an autopsy was, in fact, performed, reports Complex. Um, if there was no body found, which we all know for a fact there wasn’t, then how was an autopsy performed?
Secondly, under cause of death it originally read “undetermined,” but was later crossed out.
Even more bizarre is that the death certificate was issued on Nov. 10 even though the bone fragments belonging to Teresa were discovered on Nov. 10. It also reads that the remains were identified as Teresa’s on Dec. 5, but the DNA wasn’t matched until Jan. 19. Basically, the inconsistencies are endless.
