Sharissa Turk passed away on Mar. 2 after an apparent overdose in her Staten Island home in New York. Tragically, the famous YouTuber was 8 months pregnant when she died. Here’s what we know so far about this horrible accident.
This story will make you shudder. Sharissa was famous for being the “blue fairy” in a 2012 rap video that gained a lot of attention on YouTube. The song was called “My World Is Blue” and was recorded by the White Trash Clan. Ironically, it was a song all about prescription painkiller use in Sharissa’s neighborhood where they made light of snorting pills and getting high.
She was found dead on Mar. 2 in her Staten Island home, and had been 8 months pregnant. Police are investigating the case as though it’s an overdose, a source tells Daily News. Sharissa’s boyfriend found her unconscious body in a hallway at 2:50 in the afternoon before calling for help, said police. Her landlord said that the last time he saw her, she seemed happy. She “looked good … she smiled a lot,” he said. She had only been in the residence for a month.
Sharissa isn’t the only one to allegedly lose her life to drugs from the viral video. Gerard Kelly, who was one of the rappers in the video, died in Aug. as a result of “probable acute drug intoxication,” a spokeswoman for the city Medical Examiner’s office said. Such a tragic way to go. Our hearts are with her family during this hard time.
