Donald Trump didn’t appreciate Mitt Romney calling him a ‘phony’ that would ruin the U.S. economy if elected president. Donald fired back at Mitt, saying he begged so hard for Donald’s endorsement in 2012 that Mitt would have ‘dropped to his knees’ if Donald told him to!
It looks like Mitt Romney, 68, and Donald Trump, 69, are now the Republican version of Taylor Swift, 26, and Katy Perry, 31. While there is plenty of bad blood between Mitt and Donald, the ex-Celebrity Apprentice star said there was once a time Mitt was desperate for his approval!

“I don’t know what happened to him,” Donald said during a March 3 event in Portland, Maine. Donald was still stinging from the vicious attack Mitt unleashed just hours earlier, calling Trump “a fraud” before saying Donald’s supporters were suckers! “You can see how loyal he is. He was begging for my endorsement. I could have said, ‘Mitt, drop to your knees.’ He would have dropped to his knees.”
Uh, okay. Donald meant that Mitt would be on his knees “to beg” for Donald’s seal of approval during his 2012 presidential campaign against Barack Obama, 54. However, with how vulgar Donald has been in the past, he may have meant that he’d be getting one of those “low blows” that Rob Gronkowski, 26, was talking about. Donald also claimed that the only reason Mitt didn’t run for president again was because he’s scared of Trump! “He chickened out,” Donald said.” It was me. When I heard Mitt was going to run, I said, ‘He can’t run. He’s a choke artist.’ We cannot take another loss and Mitt is indeed a choke artist.” Mitt shot back, saying that had he known that Trump would say all those things about “the KKK, Mexicans, [and the] disabled,” then Mitt “would not have accepted his endorsement” in 2012.
If Trump had said 4 years ago the things he says today about the KKK, Muslims, Mexicans, disabled, I would NOT have accepted his endorsement

Donald was firing back because Mitt tore into him with an epic speech. Mitt said that if Donald’s economic plans were absurd, and that “he doesn’t…know what he’s talking about” when it comes to running a country! “Donald tells us he is very, very smart,” Mitt said. “When it comes to foreign policy, he is very, very not smart.” A ton of celebs agreed with Mitt as they gave him props on Twitter for his epic political smackdown!
