We love seeing Gwen Stefani and Christina Aguilera on ‘The Voice’, but why do they switch off? Is it too much to ask to have two lovely female coaches at the same time? Mark Burnett, creator of the show, explained why EXCLUSIVELY to HollywoodLife.com, here.
Gwen Stefani, 46, and Christina Aguilera, 35, are both amazing coaches on The Voice, and we would love to see them both on the show at the same time. Creator Mark Burnett explained EXCLUSIVELY to HollywoodLife.com why so far there’s only been one female coach each season. See his answer, here.
“Just so you know it is just the way it works out,” Mark, the creator of The Voice explained EXCLUSIVELY to HollywoodLife.com. “There is nothing behind it, I want to be authentic with my answer and there is nothing behind it. It just works out that way.” Good to know that there’s no nefarious plan to make sure there are more men than women coaches! So is having two women coach the same season out of the question? Nope! “Absolutely we discuss all the time, we don’t care if on The Voice there were three women and one guy or whatever order,” continued Mark EXCLUSIVELY to HollywoodLife.com. “It is just the way it works out every year.”
We all remember that Gwen was forced to leave to make way for Christina, as was previously planned before she took the season 9 gig. But now, Gwen really misses the show. Blake brought her on as the mentor for his team, but she wants more.
“Gwen thinks there should be at least two female coaches on The Voice. She’s always thought that and would be thrilled to be a coach on the show alongside Christina. She has no problem with her at all and thinks the show would benefit from having more female energy, ” a source tells HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY. We couldn’t agree more!
