Mark Zuckerberg is rollin’ in the dough! He landed in the sixth spot of Forbes’ annual billionaires list after having an incredible year and growing his net worth to more than $44 billion. Who else made the list? Find out here!
What is it like to be a multi-billionaire? Just ask Mark Zuckerberg! The 31-year-old co-founder of Facebook is one of the world’s most famous billionaires, and thanks to his $44.6 billion worth, he’s broken the top 10 to hold the No. 6 spot on the famed Forbes list. No wonder Kanye West is begging Mark for one of his billions! Keep reading to see who else is filthy rich!
While the Forbes list saw some major changes due to various economic issues, Mark had one of the best financial years of his life in 2015. He added $11.2 billion to his bank account, which jumped him 10 spots on the list from No. 16 to 6. Perhaps the even crazier thing is that Mark is the youngest of the Top 10 by 21 years! The next youngest is 52-year-old Amazon founder Jeff Bezos, who is worth just a little more than Mark at $45. 2 billion.
But Mark isn’t even the youngest billionaire. Norwegian heiresses Alexandra and Katharina Andresen — who have a 42% stake in their family’s business — are only 19 and 20! Must be nice, huh?!
As for the top spot, Bill Gates hasn’t been touched for the last three years. He remains the richest person on the planet with a net worth of $75 BILLION! Holy. Cow. Other notables are No. 3 Warren Buffett with $60.8 billion, Google co-founders Larry Page and Sergey Brin who are Nos. 12 and 13 for their $35.2 and $34.4 billion, respectively. See the full list here!
Although most of the people that made the list are probably perfectly content with their billions, there’s one person who believes he should be higher on the list: Donald Trump! The presidential candidate has claimed that he’s worth $10 billion, but Forbes’ assistant managing editor Kerry Dolan is calling his bluff. She said they spent all summer looking over his records, and he’s instead worth $4.5 billion. Poor Donald…
With all of those billions, we’re sure the world’s richest people are constantly being asked for money. But Mark fell victim to that with Kanye, of all people! After Yeezy announced on Twitter that he is $53 million in debt, he tweeted again begging Mark to invest one of his billions into “Kanye West ideas.” Not surprisingly, Mark quickly shot that down!
If Mark keeps raking in $11 billion every year, we wouldn’t be surprised to see Mark threaten Bill for the top spot on Forbes’ list in the future. If that happens, though, he better watch out — who knows what Kanye would do then!
