While we’d still love nothing more than to see the Titanic co-stars get married themselves — they’re so clearly meant to be, right? — we could definitely get on board with picking Kate picking out Leo’s future wifey. After all, there’s no denying that Kate is by far Leo’s biggest fan — a fact that she proved multiple times throughout the Oscars. Just one day after he won gold at the Oscars for his role in The Revenant, a short-but-sweet gif revealed that Leo and Kate Winslet shared an intimate moment right before his category was called. In the video, which appears to be from the backstage/audience live stream, Leo can be seen smiling with anticipation in his seat before Kate leans in and gives him a sweet kiss against the side of his jaw — and possibly even his neck! Now, just to be clear, Kate is married to Ned Rocknroll, so this was a just a friendship kiss. But still, a girl can dream right?
Oh, and if that all weren’t adorable enough, the two also shared an insanely precious moment together outside on the red carpet in the lead up to the big show. A video actually caught Kate exclaiming “Oh, my God!” when she turned and saw that Leo was standing right behind her on the red carpet, and immediately ran over to join him for a few photos. After sharing a sweet embrace, Kate appears to lean in to tell Leo “you look amazing,” which of course is stating the obvious to say the least because I mean, have you seen him?! They may never be an official couple, but they’ll forever hold a place in our hearts all the same!
