What’s the Oscars without a little humor and at least a massive diss or two? Thankfully, the host Chris Rock, delivered a whole lot of hilarity, especially when he had his daughters sell $65,243 Girl Scout cookies to Leonardo DiCaprio and other A-listers!
The Academy Awards is the biggest night in film, so it’s not surprise a simple diss can turn into a massive cringe-worthy moment. Thankfully, on Feb. 28 the big show delivered one very funny moment in particular when Chris Rock, 51, had his daughters get involved in a bit. Yes, this OMG moment will go down in Oscar history.
Things took a sweet turn during the Oscars when Chris put his daughters to work. Literally, they worked the crowd by selling Girl Scout cookies to Hollywood’s hottest stars. The hilarious host told Leonardo DiCaprio to not be cheap, since we all know he made millions of dollars in just this part year alone. “I want you to reach into your millionaire pockets, and I want to you buy some of my daughters Girl Scout cookies,” he joked with the crowd. “Leo! You made 30 million, come on!” He also made sure Kate Winslet opened her wallet for some sweet treats. The best part was seeing John Legend quickly break out cash for his wife’s pregnancy cravings — smart move daddy! Keep in mind some moments are unforgettable, like when Angelina Jolie, gave her brother, James Haven, 42, the kind of kiss sisters don’t usually give brothers. It was just as awkward when James Franco wore a dress while co-hosting the 2011 Academy Awards with Anne Hathaway — that was pretty bad.
