These days, no one is loving being a father more than Louis Tomlinson. While being a first-time daddy may be intimidating for some, the 1D singer admits that he’s absolutely loving his new role as a parent — does this mean that more kids could be on the way? See what he had to say about his big family plans here!
Is Louis Tomlinson, 24, already planning on giving little baby Freddie a new brother or sister? The One Direction singer may have just gone through a nasty custody battle with his ex Briana Jungwirth, but by the looks of it, he’s not letting that stop him from fully embracing his new role as a dad. Speaking about fatherhood in a new interview, Louis admitted that he’s absolutely loving being a parent to his 1-month-old son, so much so in fact, that he might actually be thinking about having more kids!
In an interview with the Daily Mirror, Louis admitted that he’s definitely interested in having more children…just not right away that is. “It’s great, I’m enjoying it a lot and I’d definitely like more kids,” he told the publication. “But not just yet.” Good call, Louis.
While we would love nothing more than to welcome another adorable baby Tomlinson into the world, it makes sense that Louis would want to wait until things are a bit more settled in his life before growing his family. After all, it was just recently that the 1D singer settled his intense custody battle with his baby mama, Briana, who had allegedly refused to let him see his son until he agreed to pay her more in child support, according to TMZ. Apparently the drama started when Louis, who was reportedly paying Briana’s expenses, allegedly suggested they settle on a specific amount per month instead of week-by-week. This reportedly made Briana very unhappy, which is when she stopped allowing Louis to see their son. Harsh, no?
Thankfully, after much back-and-forth, the two were able to come to a temporary agreement on Feb. 25, which would give Louis permission to see his son once again. However, the resolution wasn’t without a catch. As it turns out, Louis will still only have access to Freddie for “several hours at a time,” according to TMZ. This is only temporarily, claims the report, until their legal teams are able to finalize a “formal” agreement. Louis and Briana reportedly came to this temporary agreement just hours before they were due in court, which would have allowed a judge to make the call on their custody battle.
Even in the thick of his custody nightmare, Louis couldn’t hide his apparent joy in being a father. While speaking to ITV2 on the red carpet at the 2016 Brit Awards on Feb. 24, the proud papa gushed about his new role saying, “[Fatherhood] is good. I mean it’s intense but it’s great. It’s really exciting, obviously.” Seriously, father of the year or what?!
