Oh, the shade! Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen do NOT reprise the role of Michelle Tanner on ‘Fuller House,’ and the cast decided to diss the twins in playful jest. It’s pretty hilarious. Click to WATCH!
Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, a.k.a. Michelle Tanner, got a little mention in the Fuller House premiere, but it’s not what you think. The entire cast collectively threw some major shade at the twins after they chose not to reprise their role as youngest Tanner. Watch it now!
Stephanie asks the family, in a British accent, “Where’s my little sis?” Danny replies, “Well, Michelle sends her love, but she’s busy in New York running her fashion empire.”
That’s when the whole cast — Candace Cameron-Bure, Jodie Sweetin, Bob Saget, Dave Coulier, Lori Loughlin and John Stamos — stars at the camera and into Mary-Kate and Ashley’s soul. The moment goes on a little longer than it should, and they definitely get the message across. It’s pretty hilarious.
Mary-Kate and Ashley were the only original cast members who didn’t make an appearance in the Netflix reboot. However, creator Jeff Franklin still has hope that the twins will be a part of the journey eventually. “I am still hopeful that Mary-Kate or Ashley or both of them will come back and be a part of it, even if it’s just for an hour,” Jeff told E! News when quizzed about season two. “Hopefully next time around, we’ll have them back.”
There are plenty of throwbacks to the original series, and it’ll make the ’90s kid in you freak out. Check out our Fuller House review now. The entire first season of Fuller House is available on Netflix now. Watch Full House from the beginning by signing up for Amazon Prime.
