This is so disturbing. Erin Andrews had to sit in a Tennessee courtroom Feb. 25 while secretly taped nude video of her was shown to a jury. The humiliation of the presentation caused her to flee the courtroom in tears!
Poor thing! Erin Andrews, 37, already had the embarrassment of secretly recorded nude videos of her leaked online by convicted stalker Michael Barrett. Now during her $75 million civil trial against him and others, she’s having to relive the nightmare all over again with jury members being shown the video of her undressing, and the horror of it caused her to break down sobbing! Read on for more details of her courtroom nightmare.
This has to be one of the most uncomfortable experiences ever! The Fox sports reporter was secretly videotaped by a peeping Tom back in 2008 and now a jury in Nashville is having to watch the nude video, all while Erin was present! She eventually couldn’t take the humiliation and fled the courtroom as a four-and-a-half minute video shot in 2008 at the Nashville Marriott at Vanderbilt University was shown to jurors. Find out Erin’s verdict.
In shocking testimony by a computer scientist, it was revealed that nearly 17 million people have viewed the nude videos or stills from it online since 2009 and that it’s still all over the internet today. What a devastating thing for Erin to have to hear! Her father Steve Andrews has already testified that the experience left the Dancing With the Stars host “terrified,” “depressed” and a “shell of her former self.”
The trouble started in 2008 when Michael followed Erin around the country while she covered college football games for EPSN. He would get the hotels to book him the rooms next to her, where he would gouge peepholes in her door and record her when she was undressing or changing clothes. He then put the nude videos online after unsuccessful attempts to sell them.
Michael pleaded guilty to stalking and in 2010 was sentenced to two-and-a-half years in prison. He’s named in Erin’s lawsuit alongside West End Partners, who is the franchise owner of the Nashville Marriott, and the Windsor Capital Group that manages the hotel. Erin’s team claims that hotel employees gave Michael her room number and booked him next door, allowing him access to his evil videotaping plan.
HollywoodLifers, do you hope Erin wins the full $75 million in her lawsuit? Or do you think that’s too high a number?
