We love seeing stars like Jennifer Lopez and Jennifer Aniston hit the Oscars red carpet. In addition to their stunning hair and makeup and gorgeous gowns, they always give us body goals.
Look no further than a red carpet, especially the biggest one of all, the Oscars on Feb. 28, to get serious fitness inspiration from a ton of stars. We got a trainer to spill on a couple key moves that work your entire body, so you can have lean legs, flat abs and sexy arms in no time!
Brooke Taylor, of Taylored Fitness NY LTD, tell us:
“Working out effectively and efficiently is key to developing and maintaining a healthy lifestyle. This is not a fad, but a game changer. Knowing how to train, how to push your body, how to recover properly and nourish your body is key to sustainability.”
Oscars Workout — Get A Sexy Body Like A Celeb
“My goal is to create balanced workout through interval training to avoid the body from reaching a plateau. This way they continue to see results and most of all stay motivated. Coming from a dance background and teaching anatomy courses I have learned the importance of incorporating all planes of motion. Every workout is designed to accommodate my clients specific needs training them to work at a level to grow from.”
Here’s how to get a sexy celeb body:
“ATTITUDE REVERSE FLY: Start in a Quadruped position with your hands placed directly underneath your shoulders and your knees directly underneath your hips. Laterally rotate your left leg out to the side and cross the ankle over on top of the other. Hold a 2-3lbs weight with your right hand (opposite arm and leg to get that oppositional pull). As you exhale simultaneously lift your right arm out to the side and laterally lift your left leg. The focus should be on engaging your core to prevent spinal rotation, while working the posterior muscles of the back and the hips. **This full body exercise targets your shoulders, core, deep stabilizers of your spine, lateral rotators of the hip, and the glutes.”
“SQUAT TO PUSH UP: Start standing with your legs hip distance apart. Inhale send your hips back into a nice deep squat position. Exhale jump your legs out into a nice long dart position keeping your core engaged. Inhale and lower your body down (about fist distance) from the floor. Exhale extend your arms and jump the legs back into the deep squat position. Stay in your squat and repeat the sequence for 15 reps. **This is a great full body movement targeting your glutes, quadriceps, hamstrings, hip extensors, core, pecs, anterior deltoid and deep stabilizers of the spine.”
