“Watch this step by step on how to get the perfect easy smokey eye by @styledbyhrush on TheKylieJenner.com and the Kylie Jenner official app,” Kylie wrote on her Instagram on Feb. 23. Little did we know that we would be let in on a huge secret!
“I like when you do my ears,” Kylie said in the middle of the video. Her makeup artist Hrush Achemyan responded, “Actually, it’s a really big tip that people don’t do.” It’s so true — imagine taking a photo when your face is one color and your ears are another! Awkward! It makes total sense — just like how you blend your foundation down your neck, you should blend it out on your ears as well!
Kylie Jenner Contours Her Ears — Secret Revealed In Makeup Tutorial
The same principles of contouring your face apply — use a dark color to make ears look smaller or a highlight to make them bigger. Amanda Bell, the global brand ambassador for Pixi, just told Mimi Chatter why you start using makeup on your ears.
“When emotions are running high, not only can your cheeks flush, but a rush of blood can reach the ears making them appear florid. Using a little Pixi H20 SkinTint will ensure that ears stay a shade that is in alignment with your overall skin tone. It’s something that takes seconds and can be applied with clean fingers or concealer brush. If you feel that you need to set the tint on your ears, use a small application of translucent powder for a flawless finish.”
