Poor Kesha! Not only is the singer not releasing any new music because of her legal battle with Dr. Luke, she is also cancelling her upcoming performances. HollywoodLife.com has all the details here.
Kesha’s, 28, nasty war with Dr. Luke, 42, just keeps getting worse and worse. The “Tik Tok” singer has cancelled her scheduled performance at Loyola University Chicago’s Colossus 2016 event amidst her allegations that the Grammy-nominated music producer raped her.
On Feb. 25, the college’s Department of Programming released a statement to HollywoodLife.com that details why Kesha backed out from the Feb. 27 concert. “Kesha will no longer be able to perform at Loyola’s annual Colossus weekend due to personal reasons,” the statement said. “Kesha has expressed her disappointment in having to cancel, but she feels that this is the best decision for her at this time. We respect her decision and wish her well.” It is truly sad how much this legal problem is affecting her career.
Through the unfortunate circumstances Kesha is in, she has received an outpouring of love and support from her fellow music industry artists after the judge denied her getting out of her contract with Sony Music. Taylor Swift, 26, made a generous donation of $250,000 for her legal fees fund, Adele, 27, gave her a shout out of support while accepting her Brit Award, and Lady Gaga, 29, just posted a sweet picture with her and Kesha holding each others hands attached with a message of how strong she is for giving strength to woman afraid to speak out against individual’s who have assaulted them. It’s a very beautiful thing to see.
Kesha has been nothing but grateful for everyone’s support too. ““I am beyond words in gratitude,” captioned the Instagram picture she posted on Feb. 23. “Thank you is not enough but it is all I have. A million times over and forever thank you. The support I have received has left my face swollen from tears. I love you all so much. ❤️ a statement too large for this format is coming….”
