Rihanna knows how to make it work! The ‘Anti’ singer has never been afraid to break the beauty rules, and that’s exactly what she did at the 2016 Brit Awards on Feb. 24 when she dared to match her eye makeup to her purple dress! Are you a fan?
Rihanna, 28, didn’t need a Brit Awards nomination to absolutely slay on the red carpet in London on Feb. 24! Never one to shy away from a bold beauty look, the “Work” singer made the ultimate fashion statement by matching her eye shadow to the exact color of her sparkly purple dress! Some may consider the move a beauty faux pas, but we for one are totally loving it! What do you think?
As expected, RiRi looked absolutely flawless when she arrived to the music awards show on Feb. 24. While she wasn’t nominated for an award this time around, the “FourFiveSeconds” singer may have won the night irregardless, thanks to her fresh faced makeup look. Seriously, everything was on fleek — brows, cheeks, lips –you name it! We especially love that she opted for a pretty lilac eyeshadow, which not only complimented her complexion to a “T,” but also brought out the color of her gorgeous purple beaded gown. It’s a risky move, but of course, Rihanna rocked it to perfection!
Meanwhile, in terms of her hair, RiRi once again impressed by styling her hair into a glossy bob cut that hit just below her chin. The “Work” singer is always at the top of the game, whenever she’s doing a sleek ponytail or a curly look that can only be called “award winning,” and this sleek and simple look is no exception.
Of course, it should come as no surprise to see that Rihanna totally killed it on the red carpet tonight considering that she’s basically the queen of fashion these days. Like her pal Kanye West, the singer recently launched her own Fenty collection in collaboration with Puma during New York Fashion Week, and unsurprisingly, it was a huge success! Who knows, perhaps she bust out a few of the pieces tonight when she takes to the Brit Awards stage for her long-awaited live performance. Of course, you can always unleash your inner RiRi by streaming her music, unlimited and ad-free, after signing up here.
“I love designing. I’ve always enjoyed it. The thing I love most is the unexpected result between my brand and theirs, the combination, the marriage — it’s like having a baby,” Rihanna told HollywoodLife.com’s sister publication, WWD. “you put two things together and all of the sudden it bursts into a new thing. It’s life.”
Rihanna’s hair and make-up is giving us life, HollywoodLifers. What do you think about her look on the red carpet? Do you think she would take own the Grammy for fierceness?
