Tired of boring movies winning at the Oscars? So are we. Let’s go over all the reasons why the real best movie of the year, ‘Mad Max: Fury Road,’ should win an Academy Award.
The latest Mad Max movie had it all, romance, fire, non-stop action, plot-twists, more fire and more action. It is absurd that every year tear-jerking, independent pieces win all the awards. This is the perfect time to start a new trend and award a gritty action film, which really deserves the title, best picture.
Mad Max: Fury Road is a cinematic masterpiece. It is far and away the most artistic picture of the year with a sense of style unlike any movie ever created. Every shot, every scene, every character was simply beautiful to look at and creatively brilliant. You could watch the feature five times and not catch all the artistic touches. Did you see the dude playing the flame-throwing guitar on top of the truck, hauling butt in the desert? C’mon people, SO OSCAR WORTHY!
Crazy Cool Concept
Mad Max was a super bold story that was amazingly well-executed. From start to finish, it was clear that director George Miller had a vision for his masterpiece and a unique style to present his story. The screenplay was unlike anything anyone has ever seen before and that makes it the best movie of this last year.
Charlize Theron, 40, has won her Oscar already and is the anchor to this amazing cast. Tom Hardy, 38, plays a villain turned hero whose character arc gave the epic it’s weight. Then there were the damsels in distress led by the gorgeous Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, 28, damn. That is how you put together a stellar, Oscar-worthy cast.
Mad Max had twists and turns around every corner. Not to give away any spoilers but the ending was like, WHOA! The action throughout the flick definitely made me feel some type of way. I was on the edge of my seat, nervously chomping on my popcorn, for two straight hours. No other film this year had the same impact on audiences across the world. Do I need to say it again? Mad Max was the best picture of 2016.
OK, so The Revenant was also amazing and would be suitable to win, but it was no where near as cool. It is time to buck the system and give the Academy Award to the real best movie of the year, an action film, Mad Max: Fury Road.
What do you think HollywoodLifers? Don’t you agree that Mad Max should win the Academy Award for best picture of the year?
