It’s raining … confetti! Coldplay totally rocked the Brit Awards on Feb. 24 with their performance of ‘Hymn For The Weekend’. We almost think this was even better than their halftime show with Beyonce! Check it out and decide for yourself!
The 2016 Brit Awards were kicked off the right way when Coldplay took it up a notch with a bada** performance of Hymn For The Weekend. The event, held at the O2 Arena in London was full of our favorite celebs and there was no way they weren’t totally rocking out to Coldplay’s performance. And if you’re thinking they couldn’t top their Super Bowl performance, wait until you see how they paid tribute to their biggest performance yet!
The colors! Look at all the colors! Coldplay and Chris Martin looked like they had actually travelled through space and time for their epic Brit Awards performance. The set looked straight from Super Bowl 50, minus Bruno Mars and Beyonce of course. Instead, the boys of Coldplay brought the heat to their performance with some serious pyrotechnics and showering the audience with tons of confetti. It’s fun to make it rain, isn’t it guys! It’s a big night for them since they’re also up for Album of the Year against Adele, Florence + The Machine, James Bay and Jamie xx. This would be the fourth win for the guys in the Album of the Year category if they win. They took home the award in 2001, 2003 and 2012. But there’s a huge chance Adele will win for 25 — so fingers crossed. Coldplay is also up for Best British Group against: Foals, One Direction and Years & Years. Let’s be honest, 1D may very well win, especially since they took a hiatus and who knows if they will ever get back together.
