Love was in the air on the Feb. 23 episode of ‘Pretty Little Liars,’ as a special officiant helped two Rosewood couples tie the knot! Plus, Emily got attacked and may have incriminated herself for the murder of Charlotte DiLaurentis in the process.
We defintely felt a mix of emotions while watching the Feb. 23 episode of Pretty Little Liars. We were elated to see Aria (Lucy Hale) marry both Bryon (Chad Lowe) and Ella (Holly Marie Combs), as well as [SPOILER] and her hunky boyfriend, scared for Emily (Shay Mitchell) when she got attacked, and frustrated with Caleb (Tyler Blackburn) for getting kicked out of Spencer’s (Troian Bellisario) house.
It was a crazy episode, so we’ll break it all down for you liar by liar.
This week, Aria was forced to tell Ezra (Ian Harding) the truth about her involvement in his book. He didn’t seem to care all that much — he just wanted to read what she had written. Unfortunately for Aria, while Liam was talking to Ezra, he discovered they used to date and then, he assumed that’s why she has been staying in Rosewood for so long. So they fought, but then, they made up at Byron and Ella’s wedding, where Aria officiated the ceremony. She admitted to Liam that she once loved Ezra, but he (Liam) is who she sees in her future. And later on that night, Alison (Sasha Pieterse) then begged Aria to marry her and Dr. Rollins. (For real!) So much for Emison.
And speaking of Emily, she made friends with a classmate, who turned out to be a reporter. When she went to do some investigating of her own at the diner someone allegedly called Charlotte (Vanessa Ray) from shortly before her murder, Emily was confronted by a scary pickup truck. It kept going back and forth in an attempt to run her over… or, it was just purposely trying to scare her on top of a shipping crate, where she just so happened to stumble upon the alleged murder weapon. You know, the one that allegedly broke off of Melissa’s (Torrey DeVitto) suitcase. Well, Emily, of course, touched it, and then when the truck rammed into the shipping crate, it fell and the driver grabbed it before driving away.
Hanna (Ashley Benson) didn’t have such an eventful week, but she did finally pick a wedding date — May 17. And she did so after Ella kept bugging her about wedding plans. But something tells us she’d rather be marrying Caleb than Jordan, as she shared her hopes of reuniting with a first love.
Caleb, however, may have been too involved in Veronica Hastings’ (Lesley Fera) campaign to notice Hanna still loves him. After he stopped her medical records from leaking, Caleb then took the fall for leaking a different medical record — one that hurt the opponent. He obviously didn’t do it, but he took the fall after Veronica assumed Spencer had something to do with it. (Aw — he really loves her!) Unfortunately, taking the blame got him kicked out of the barn and off of her campaign.
Other tidbits: The hole that Aria and Spencer found in Sara’s closet at the Radley is now nonexistent. And according to a flashback scene between Hanna and Melissa, Charlotte scared Wren away by telling him the truth about Melissa killing Bethany Young.
