Hmm, should Scandal‘s Mellie Grant be concerned that her right hand woman (aka Kerry Washington’s Olivia Pope) is cozying up to another White House hopeful? Maybe! After all, Hillary Clinton, 68, did visit the set of Scandal and was photographed with Kerry as well as with other members of the cast. Do we have a new guest appearance on our hands? As it turns out, Olivia Pope can only handle running one presidential campaign at a time. Hillary wasn’t on set Feb. 22 to exercise her acting chops, but she was there to have a good time — and by the looks of the Instagram photos that Kerry, Darby Stanchfield, Scott Foley, and Tony Goldwyn posed in, it seems as if she accomplished her mission.
Kerry posted two photos to her Insta account while Scott, who just happened to be directing that night, also snapped a photo and captioned it: “So, this happened while I was directing tonight. No big deal.#imwithher.” What a crazy surprise!
These two weren’t the only actors totally psyched about the visit, either. Tony, who plays President Fitzgerald Grant on the series, took to Twitter to share his excitement about the former Secretary of State’s drop-by. “Thanks @HillaryClinton for visiting our alternate universe tonight! You are the ultimate #Gladiator !!! #ImWithHer,” he tweeted. Even Katie Lowes joined in on the action and posted a selfie with Hillary. Wow — looks like Hillz definitely has some powerful backing!
It’s easy to see why Hillary had so much fun visiting the set of Scandal, after all, the hit drama is emulating real life by having a woman running for president on the show. Mellie Grant, who’s played by Bellamy Young, is the former first lady and current senator in the Scandal world who, you guessed it, is now running for president. Sound familiar? We can’t think of a better show to have Hillary’s back than this one!

The set of Scandal was just one stop for Hillary on her fundraising tour of Los Angeles. Even better, she also recently filmed a cameo on Comedy Central’s Broad City alongside stars Ilana Glazer and Abbi Jacobson. This is one presidential candidate who definitely seems to be one with the stars.
