Have you ever seen anything like this? Kimbo Slice defeated Dada 5000 in one of the strangest MMA fights ever seen. The two squared off in the co-main event of Bellator 149 on Feb. 19, and the finale was truly spectacular for ALL THE WRONG REASONS! Click here to see the hilarious video!
Is this possibly the worst TKO ever in the history of the MMA? Well, you’ll be hard pushed to see ANYTHING funnier! Kimbo Slice, 42, eventually got the better of his street-fighting rival Dhafir “Dada 5000” Harris, 38, inside the Bellator cage on Feb 19 at the Toyota Center in Houston in the most bizarre way possible, and lucky for us it was televised!
After what was described as a pretty uneventful fight, both men spent more time on the canvas than on their feet trying to fight, the astounding, and comical, finale came at 1:32 of the third round. With both men flat out exhausted, barely able to stand, throw a punch and clearly out of shape, Kimbo delivered a wild right hand that totally missed Dada 5000. In his eagerness to avoid the punch, which didn’t even come close to striking him, Dada 5000 took a side-step to his right, only to end up stumbling half-way across the other side of the ring and land face-first onto the canvas!
It really wasn’t pretty at all, and the co-commentator called it right when he likened the fight to watching Michael Jackson‘s “Thriller.” We can’t help but agree, but it certainly wasn’t as well choreographed!
However, a family statement put out after the fight had us feeling sorry for Dada 5000. His poor performance was due to “extremely high levels of potassium in his blood, which led to severe dehydration, fatigue and renal failure.” The statement went on to say that was the result of Dada losing 40 pounds to fight his first professional fight since 2011.
It just goes to show that you can’t fault some for trying. The statement added, “We ask for the public and media to respect Dada’s privacy as he recovers.” We wish him well!
HollywoodLifers, have you seen a funnier fight or a funnier end to a fight? Should these two be stripped of their professional MMA status? Let us know by sounding off below!
