Not only did friends and family lose an amazing woman when Big Ang tragically passed away on Feb. 18, but, according to ‘Mob Wives’ costar, Ramona Rizzo, they also lost one heck of a cook! Hear all about Ramona’s most precious — and delicious — memory of the late star here.
Food can always be counted on to bring people together, and in Big Ang’s circle, she was usually the one doing the cooking AND the unifying. In the wake of her tragic death, her Mob Wives co-star, Ramona Rizzo, fondly remembers Big Ang’s epic meals, her incomparable talent for cooking, and how she always seemed to be able to unite her loved ones at the dinner table.
“One thing about Ang, what everybody’s going to miss too, is she could really cook,” Ramona gushed to TMZ on Feb. 18. “I got to have a couple of her good dinners and that lady could really cook her ass off.” We believe it too! After all, there’s nothing like a strong Italian woman in the kitchen. Her secret weapon? “One time she made lobster with spaghetti and it was amazing. I was honestly going to drink the sauce,” Ramona revealed. Yum!
During this particular evening, the women were shooting an episode of Mob Wives and, according to Ramona, the cast could have cared less about working — all they wanted to do was eat! “We had to cut the scene and we were like, ‘We want to eat, we want to eat!'” the reality star said. “She was probably the best cook I ever had, yeah, she really was.” What a beautiful memory!
But no matter how painful this time is for the loved ones Big Ang left behind, Ramona finds comfort in picturing Ang doing what she does best — cooking for her friends and family. “Up there she’s probably having a big party and everybody is celebrating and she’s probably with all the wise guys that passed away and doing it Big Ang style,” Ramona said.
