The Republican South Carolina Primary is coming up fast so these GOP candidates need all the support they can get. Ben Carson, Ted Cruz and Marco Rubio will square off in the first of two CNN Town Halls on Feb. 17 and HollywoodLife.com wants you to see every moment. Click to watch!
It’s crunch time for the GOP. The Republican South Carolina primary goes down on Feb. 20, and candidates Marco Rubio, 44, Ted Cruz, 45, and Ben Carson, 64, are making one last pitch to voters in the Palmetto State with an exciting Town Hall forum!
Greenville, South Carolina will become 2016 Presidential Election central on Feb. 17 when it hosts the first of two CNN Republican Town Halls. Three candidates will take the stage to field questions and address all the important issues. This event kicks off at 8:00 P.M. EST so be sure you’re ready to see every thrilling second.
Anderson Cooper, 48, will moderate the debate and he’ll have quite the challenge on his hands. Ted is looking to regain some momentum. Though he won the Iowa Caucus, the Texas senator finished third in the New Hampshire primary, behind John Kasich, 63, and the primary’s winner (and Ted’s nemesis) Donald Trump, 69.
Donald won’t be part of the Feb. 17 debate as he, John and Jeb Bush, 63, will have their turn the following night on the 18. That may be a good thing. At the Feb. 13 debate, Ted and Donald traded insults, with Donald calling his Republican rival “the single biggest liar…this guy will say anything. He’s a nasty guy, and now I know why he doesn’t have one endorsement from any of his colleagues.”
Even after that slam, Ted is doing far better than his fellow senator. Marco finished third in Iowa and came in fifth in New Hampshire, and after a disastrous performance at the Feb. 6 debate, according to The New York Times, Marco looks to be on the ropes. At least he’s polling better than Ben in South Carolina. Marco has 14%, according to CNN, while Ben is only pulling in 6%.
Maybe Ben will wake up during the town hall. But is it a case of “too little, too late” for the retired neurosurgeon? Will Ted cruise his way to a South Carolina win, or will Marco make his mark in the Palmetto state? There’s only one way to find out.
