Don’t blame Tyga for the ultimate diss on Sir Paul McCartney, who was turned away from the door at a Grammy’s after party that he was performing at. The poor guy had no idea that a founding member of the Beatles was trying to get in to his big show!
Aww Tyga, thanks for the much-needed explanation! The 26-year-old rapper stopped by Jimmy Kimmel on Feb. 16 to explain why the unthinkable happened, that one of music’s greatest living legends was turned away not once, but twice from the post Grammy show he was performing at the The Argyle in Hollywood. But don’t worry guys, Tyga definitely knows who Sir Paul McCartney is and had no idea who the bouncers were letting in to the party. Read on for his explanation.
Tyga made a surprise appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live to proclaim his innocence in the diss of the decade. He said he woke up on Feb. 16 to a series of texts about the incident, but he said he didn’t know anything about it as he was onstage performing and had no idea that Sir Paul was outside. He said if he’d known he would have “got the mic” and brought him inside to join him onstage! As to whether or not he’d spoken to Paul since the diss, he just referenced the apology tweet he put out but noted that the music legend hadn’t tweeted back to him. Go old school and pick up Tyga’s Rack City right here.
As for whether or not there was an actual guest list for the party that Paul may not have been on, he said he knew nothing about it and said, “I got paid to go and perform” and that was the extent of his involvement in the bash. Tyga did give a shout out to Paul that he has a show coming up at L.A.’s Nokia Theater on Feb. 26 and “I would love for you to come” he told the camera. As for whether or not he’s worried that Paul may come out with a song about the slight, Tyga noted that Paul’s “OG in the game, no diss track” will be coming his way. Well played Tyga!
I don't control the door. I had no knowledge SIR PAUL was there. I just performed and left.

HollywoodLifers, are you relieved that Tyga didn’t actually diss Paul McCartney?
