There is a wild new theory about who Negan is going to kill on ‘The Walking Dead’ when he finally arrives — and it’s Daryl.
When it comes to season six of The Walking Dead, all any fan can think about is the arrival of Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) and how it’s going to rock the survivors world. But, is Glenn (Steven Yeun) really the one we should be worried about… or is it someone else, like Daryl (Norman Reedus)?
Brace yourselves, Walking Dead fans. A new theory about who Negan is going to kill before season six ends is circling the net, and fans are now pointing their fingers at Daryl. Yes, Daryl!
Here’s why: In the scene where Daryl blows up the group of The Saviors on their motorcycles using the rocket launcher, there was allegedly a car moving in the background. In the video, which you can see below, you see it slowly start to roll into focus just as the group is blown to bits. Fans believe that Negan was in the car, which, if true, means he witnessed Daryl killing his pack of goons. Awkward.
However, it’s also fair to note that the car moving in in the background may have just been a production issue — or a really, really clever screenwriter.

Now, as readers of the graphic novels know, Negan introduces himself by taking his bat (Lucille) to Glenn’s skull. But show runner Scott Gimple has already shared that the storyline takes a “hard left turn” from the comics, which tells us that it’s possible Glenn will be spared. After all, the entirety of season six has been foreshadowing his death which makes him far too obvious a choice for a show that likes to rip the rug out from under it’s audience when they aren’t looking.
The Daryl theory makes a lot of sense, even if it hurts to admit it. If Negan did, in fact, witness him kill the bikers, he’s going to want revenge!
But, there’s also my own personal theory — that Negan will kill pregnant Maggie (Lauren Cohan). Why, you ask? Well, for starters, can we really have another baby on the show? Secondly, a “hard left turn” could lead to Maggie throwing herself in the line of danger to save Glenn, who she has almost lost far too many times. Oh, and last but not least, Maggie has absolutely nothing to lose. If she (and her baby) are killed, she doesn’t have to live in a world without Glenn after losing everyone else she has ever loved (Hershel, Beth, etc). But what would her death mean for Glenn?
I guess we’ll all just have to keep watching The Walking Dead on AMC, Sunday nights at 9/8c, to find out what is really going to happen!
