It looks like Kanye West isn’t getting that bailout. After Yeezy admitted he was $53 million dollars in debt, he pleaded with Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg to invest a ‘billion’ in his ideas. Mark’s response was to throw some shade at Kanye on — where else? — Facebook. Click to see.
Kanye West, 38, is going to need a “Dislike” button after he finds out that Mark Zuckerberg, 31, dissed him. Yeezy thought he might have found a solution to his money problems by asking Mark for an investment, but it doesn’t look like Zuck’s pulling out his wallet for Ye anytime soon.
Mark gave a subtle reply to Kanye’s request by liking a Facebook status that mocked the “30 Hours” rapper, according to The Shade Room. Steven Grimm, a former software engineer at Facebook, reportedly wrote “Dear Kanye West: If you’re going to ask the CEO of Facebook for a billion dollars, maybe don’t do it on Twitter.” This must have made Mark smile, because he liked the status!
The post is not on Steven’s page anymore, thought it could be on another account. He may even have taken it down out of fear of Kanye treating him like Taylor Swift, 26, and trashing him with a crude song that finds a gross rhyme with “Facebook engineer.” Find all the interesting rhymes you can by signing up to stream unlimited and ad-free music right here.
Seems the Bank of Zuckerberg is closed for Kanye’s business. The rapper, who made his name with his College Dropout record, looked for some financial aid from the Facebook guru in a bizarre Twitter rant. Not only did Yeezy claim he was Mark’s “favorite artist,” he also said he doesn’t “have enough resources to create what [he] really can,” and that “the coolest things [Mark] could ever do is help [him] in my time of need.”
Despite this “time of need,” plenty of people poked fun at Kanye’s massive debt. When Pizza Hut heard that Kanye was deep in the hole, to the tune of $53 million, the pizza chain offered Yeezy a job. However, Ricky Gervais, 54, might have nailed it when he trashed Kanye’s ridiculous spending habits, saying Yeezy would use Mark’s money to buy “more houses and furs.” Ricky may be on to something. Even after Kanye said he was massively in debt, he’s still spending money on private planes and really expensive watches. Perhaps that’s why Mark’s not eager to write Yeezy a check.
