Oh my goodness! Audio was just released confirming Kanye West’s meltdown behind the scenes at ‘Saturday Night Live’ on Feb. 13, and it’s even crazier than we thought! He even lashed out at staff, allegedly calling them ‘motherf*ckers.’ Listen, here.
Kanye West, 38, most definitely DID throw a crazy tantrum backstage at Saturday Night Live on Feb. 13, and now there’s some intense audio to prove it! Kanye is totally enraged in the audio. And according to a report, he also freaked out at the backstage crew and allegedly called them “motherf*ckers”! Listen to his whole tirade, here.
A full audio recording of the shocking incident was obtained by Page Six, and believe us when we say it is EXTREME. Kanye was reportedly unleashing frustration when the SNL stage crew tore up the shiny flooring on his performance set because they saw that it was reflecting the stage lights. He snarled, “look at that s–t they took my f—–g stage off’a SNL without asking me. I am bummed … If I am going to do this we are breaking the m———–g Internet.”
His rep denies that part to the newspaper, but didn’t respond to any other of Kaye’s comments in the audio. However, a Kanye source told HollywoodLife.com “he did NOT yell at SNL staff. This audio was secretly recorded while he was venting his frustration in a private moment with his team. He found out his stage design was changed and taken apart under the direction of the show’s lighting director without anyone’s approval. He had spent an entire day rehearsing and a lot of hard work into the performance. Dramatic set changes were made 30 minutes before going live. It should be understandable why he was upset after being completely blindsided.”
Kanye also called out Taylor Swift yet again in the meltdown, calling her a “fake a**” after her rep issued a statement denying that Taylor had given him permission to call her a “b*tch” and to say that he made her famous, in his new song “Famous”. Her rep insisted on Feb. 11 that she did no such thing. Clearly the feud with Taylor, plus the delayed release of his album The Life of Pablo, as well as the stress over debuting the Yeezy Season 3 fashion show on Feb. 11 at NYC’s Madison Square Garden is getting to Yeezy.
After the meltdown, he almost backed out of doing his scheduled performance on SNL. Executive Producer Lorne Michaels had to get Kim Kardashian to intervene and talk Kanye into going through with his performance. However, a source close to Kanye tells HollywoodLife.com that Ye is cool with Lorne and the crew. They explained that “later in the evening, after everything was fixed, and following his performance Kanye was seen hugging Lorne Michaels just before the goodnights. He stayed afterwards to chat with the staff and the cast, and thanked the producers on his way out the door.”
