‘Face Off’ is going dark. While Mel has been the most optimistic through this season, she admits this week that she’s seriously struggling. Watch this exclusive sneak peek!
Every week, Face Off gets tougher and tougher – -and this week, it looks like Mel, 26, may have hit her breaking point. “This is the worst decision of my life,” the New Jersey native says in this exclusive sneak peek. Watch here.
“I have to model the entire lower half of the mannequin’s body,” she explains in the clip. This week’s episode is titled Death’s Doorstep, and the challenge is for each artist to take a comedic obituary and create an “eccentric character” off of that. For Mel’s team, that includes a front butt.
“This front butt is tremendous, and I also have to sculpt and mold a face . . . so I’m weaving in and out of feeling like this is the worst decision of my life,” she said in the clip. “I like the dimples,” Johnny chimes in, about the butt. Hey, well that’s a good sign!
Just so you know, Mel is a trained special FX and beauty makeup artist, who graduated from Rider University’s Theatre department, and completed Tom Savini’s Special Make-Up Effects Program in 2015. She earned her esthetician’s license from Atelier Esthétique in NYC, and has worked in bridal and high fashion makeup, as well as theatre and film.
Tune in to Face Off on Wednesday at 9PM ET!
