All night long? Only when Lionel Richie is around! The iconic singer hopped on stage with John Legend, Demi Lovato, and other artists to perform one of his biggest hits at the end of their tribute performance. Click inside to WATCH!
Lionel Richie, 66, wasn’t going to let anyone else end his own tribute, that’s for sure! After watching some of today’s hottest young musicians sing a handful of his most well-known songs, the “All Night Long” singer ran on stage to help them close it out.
Karamu, fiesta, forever! Once John Legend, Demi Lovato, Tyrese, Luke Bryan, and Meghan Trainor wrapped up their medly of Lionel Richie hits, the singer himself took the stage to show them how it’s really done. He closed the tribute performance to his career out by singing “All Night Long” with his younger counterparts, taking things up a notch and giving the audience a great excuse to dance the night away. So cool!
However, before he joined the other artists on the Grammys stage, the camera showed him singing along during the medley and even mouthing a “Yes!” when Demi hit a high note in “Hello.” Even though we’ll never forgive the Grammys for not letting Adele seize that potentially hilarious moment, we were just as impressed with Demi’s killer vocals. She sounded incredible, and she definitely had Lionel’s approval!

“Wow. What a night,” Demi tweeted after performing during the live awards show on Monday night, Feb. 15. “You deserved every bit of tonight [and] Saturday,” she said, tagging Lionel on Twitter.
Lionel also wrote on Twitter, sending his gratitude out to the viewers, “Thank you to all my fans for supporting me after all these years!”
